WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?

I paint with high quality oil paint on pre-stretched canvas for the best quality finish.  The high quality oil paints are resistant to scratches, fingerprints and staining which will last years. 

CAN I ASK WHO WILL BE IN MY WEDDING PIECE?

Due to the short amount of time at weddings. I will only be able to paint the bride and groom to a finished quality by the end of the wedding. However if you are wanting extra people, an extra cost will be applied and they can be added after the wedding at my home studio. Past loved ones and pets are also welcome.

DO YOU NEED ANY SPECIAL PERMITS FROM THE VENUE?

My setup is simple, so I typically don't need help from the event crew, as my own foldable easel is provided. Prior to my visit, your site just needs to set up a tiny painting area that shouldn't be larger than 4 feet by 6 feet, either indoors or outside. A power outlet will also be necessary so that I can power the lamp on my easel.

WHAT IS REQUIRED BOOK YOU FOR AN EVENT?

After sending your contact details from the contact page I will generally reply within 1-2 days if your date is available. I'll send you a contract and an invoice for a retainer of 20% of the total cost. One week before the scheduled date, the remaining balance is due. When I receive the signed contract and deposit, your date will be reserved on my calendar.

I will arrange an phone consultation within a few weeks before your day. We will discuss what ideas you want to have painted for your special day and ceremony details.

ONLY AN HOUR PRIOR TO THE EVENT TIME WILL MY VENUE ALLOW YOU TO SET UP. IS THAT A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF TIME?

Even though two hours in preparation is preferable, it just takes me about 20 minutes to set up and begin painting. I have been able to create finished-looking paintings over the duration of a 5-6 hour reception.

I HAVE A SPECIFIC IDEA. WILL WE MEET BEFORE MY WEDDING TO GO OVER THE DETAILS?

We will meet digitally over the phone a few weeks before your wedding to go through the location where you would like me to set up, the kind of scene you are looking for your artwork, as well as anything else that may be essential to you.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED, AND WOULD YOU TRAVEL?

I am based in Perth and travel throughout the City. Travel costs will be included in your proposal and will include compensation for hotel accommodations if the wedding is 1.5 hours from my studio in Osborne Park. If it is required that I ship the painting back to you, then shipping + handling and insurance will also be added to you proposal. Due to travel information and availability, I can only book interstate weddings 4 - 6 months in advance. Travel costs range from $1500-$1700 depending on the state and time of year.

Local events (within Perth city limits) do not require travel compensation. 

AFTER THE WEDDING, HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY PAINTING BACK?

Depending on the time of year, and number of hours spent on touch-ups in the studio, your live painting will be made available for pickup within 1-2 weeks of the wedding date. All touch-ups are included in the cost of your painting, unless special requests are made that deviate from the original vision of the painting. You will be informed when your painting is finished, and it can be picked up locally or shipped directly to your front door. If I travel out of state to your wedding, I typically ship the painting back to you as I need to put all the special details in which take time to dry.
